Modal Learning

Modal Learning is a cohort based learning platform for Data and AI skills with a 10x engagement rate over other learning platforms (Udemy, Coursera, etc) as well as an average 83% completion rate. As founding designer, my role encompassed leading many 0 to 1 design and research initiatives for a multi-sided B2B2C platform, designing the product experience for both learners and coaches, and designing the internal tools used by employer admins.

Learner Platform

The Modal learner platform transforms professional learning through a comprehensive platform that integrates personalized 1:1 coaching and feedback, structured course progression and accountability through sprints and cohorts, live interactive events, and generative AI skill support.

By combining expert guidance with adaptive technological tools, the platform creates a focused learning environment where professionals can systematically develop skills, receive targeted assistance, and track their educational progress.

Coach Portal

The Modal Coaching Portal allows coaches to closely monitor the progress of their learners throughout their courses through grading, 1:1 note taking, and status updates about their learner's progress.

Admin and Manager Portal

The Modal Admin and Manager Portal bridges individual potential with organizational objectives, offering:

• Comprehensive learner growth tracking
• Holistic goal alignment across personal and team development
• Multifaceted progress assessment through self-reporting, assignment grading, and coaching insights

This approach turns learning into a strategic, collaborative journey that aligns individual aspirations with team and organizational goals. By synthesizing performance data through self reporting, assignment feedback, and direct coach feedback, we supply managers with a more nuanced understanding of each learner's developmental trajectory, enabling more targeted professional growth strategies.
